New for the 2012 summer season, the Four Seasons Naturalists program will be offering interpretive and informative stargazing expeditions, giving couples and families the opportunity to experience an unforgettable evening under the stars. Venture into a prime star viewing location in Grand Teton National Park, or enjoy an evening stargazing from the Westbank Grill or Peak patio. When the sky is clear and the stars are aligned in an ideal position the Cottonwood Terrace will be available for exclusive onsite viewings.
As the sun sets behind the Tetons you will begin to view the celestial dome in one of the best locations in the world. Experts, enthusiasts and educators travel to Jackson Hole from all around the world to view the dark sky from our remote location. The Four Seasons State of the art Schmitt-Casagranian 11 inch telescope will offer astonishing views of galaxies, planets, nebulas, moons, special events, and more.
While you gaze into the Teton skylines enjoy appetizers and beverages, or a Four Seasons chef prepared meal. The Residence Services personnel are happy to assist you with creating a special event, a birthday party, romantic dinner or unique family outing.

Visit the Teton Raptor Centeron your next trip to Jackson Hole and learn about the birds of prey that inhabit area. Located in Wilson, Wyoming, the Teton Raptor Center “helps birds of prey through education, conservation and rehabilitation.” The center is a non-profit organization of preservation biologists, veterinarians, wildlife rehabilitators and volunteers working together with to help birds of prey in the Teton Valley.
Tour the facility and meet the three resident raptors Owly the Great Horned Owl, Gus the Golden Eagle, and Ruby the Red Tailed Hawk. The raptors cannot be released back into the wild because of injuries that make them unsuccessful hunters. Having the birds permanently live at the center allows the volunteers to study and become educators for the species. Open tours are available Tuesdays and Wednesdays at noon and 2 pm. Tours and private viewings are also available by appointment. Alternatively, you may opt to participate in an Artist Morning available the second Thursday of every month from 9 am to 11 am. With this event you will bring your own sketch pad, paint, sculpting clay or any medium you prefer and a live bird of prey will be provided by the center.
